Greater than 600 Google staff are refusing to “be complicit” in any potential cloud computing work the tech big may do for U.S. Customs and Border Safety (CBP).

In a petition posted on Wednesday to Medium, the staff wrote that CBP, together with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is caging and harming asylum seekers, separating kids from their mother and father and overseeing an abusive system.

After noting that CBP is in search of distributors for a contract to offer cloud providers, the Googlers requested that the Mountain View, Calif., firm preemptively decide to not working with the company.

“It’s time to face collectively once more and state clearly that we are going to not work on any such contract. We demand that Google publicly commit to not help CBP, ICE or ORR [Office of Refugee Resettlement] with any infrastructure, funding or engineering sources, instantly or not directly, till they cease partaking in human rights abuses,” the petition said.
