Jet with gear downside lands safely in Southern California

A key U.S. ally is close to adding swarming attack drones to its military arsenal

ONTARIO, Calif. — A personal jet has landed safely at a Southern California airport regardless of a touchdown gear downside.

The dual-engine Gulfstream G4 touched down gingerly shortly after 2 p.m. Friday at Ontario Worldwide Airport, east of Los Angeles.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the jet misplaced a wheel whereas departing Los Angeles Worldwide Airport and circled Ontario to burn off gasoline.

The aircraft’s deliberate vacation spot was Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The jet is registered to Actually Handy Aviation LLC of Wilmington, Delaware.
